Alyssa Flack just turned two huge nights in Norman into a national spotlight.

The Oklahoma volleyball sophomore was named AVCA Player of the Week for Division I women, the biggest weekly honor in the college game.

She is only the fourth Sooner ever to land it, and the first since Kylee McLaughlin back in 2018.

The pin hitter from Streetsville, Ontario, earned it the hard way, against two ranked Texas rivals.

First came a five-set slugfest with No. 12 Texas A&M, where she put down 15 kills and stuffed a season-best four blocks.

Then she went off against No. 9 Texas, piling up a career-high 19 kills on .395 hitting with just two errors in 43 swings.

That sweep handed Oklahoma its first home win over the Longhorns since 2011.

It also gave the program back-to-back wins over top-15 opponents for the first time in its history.

Across those eight sets, Flack averaged 4.25 kills and 4.69 points per set while hitting a tidy .346.

She added six blocks too, proof that her impact does not stop at the attack line.

The national nod landed just one day after the SEC named her both its Player of the Week and its Offensive Player of the Week.

For young outsides watching at home, her week was a clinic in swinging big while keeping the errors low.

Now the real test arrives.

Oklahoma hosts No. 4 Kentucky on Oct. 16 and No. 9 Tennessee on Oct. 18 at McCasland Field House.

Two more ranked wins would turn a breakout week into a full-blown SEC statement.

Either way, every scouting report in the league now starts with the same name: Flack.
